The Federal Joint Committee (G-BA) has decided today which impartial member will chair each of the currently ten subcommittees until the end of the current term in 2030:
- Dr. Sonja Optendrenk, who is also the impartial chair of the G-BA, will lead the subcommittees for Medicinal Products, Needs Planning and Dental Treatment.
- Karin Maag remains responsible, as before, for the subcommittees for Quality Assurance, Specialist Outpatient Care and Disease Management Programmes, as well as the temporary subcommittee for Post-COVID and conditions with similar symptoms.
- Dr. Bernhard van Treeck continues to lead the subcommittees for Methods Assessment, Psychotherapy and Psychiatric Care, and Commissioned Services.
Ms. Optendrenk chaired the G-BA plenary session for the first time, with the three new decisions on early benefit assessment under Section 35a SGB V.
